May (18mo.)

She puts on makeup with Mommy

She got an ugly, ugly black eye that took WEEKS to go away.  We were having dinner at a friend's house and she was playing in their living room afterwards.  I was right there beside her, but she stumbled and I heard her head hit the coffee table.  But she didn't cry or scream, she barely whined once then continued with what she was doing.  It looked a little red at first but she seemed okay, then for the next three days it just got worse and worse.

I think this was Mother's Day -
I could not get her to smile with me.

She started getting really into washing her hands.

April (17mo.)

April - Mike was still traveling to DE three days a week and we spent Easter in Pittsburgh with Mike's family.  We took lots of walks together, what else...you know, we're always up to social things, Metanoia events and whatnot.  Not my most elegant either.

Hmm, why is Mommy napping??

This was the last month of bottle/breastfeeding.  :( :( :(
She weaned herself, essentially.

Cooking with Daddy
Blowing (or rather, spilling) homemade bubbles

Drawing
Kisses for Aunt Kathy (just to make Grandpa jealous I think)

OUR LITTLE PRINCESS

Elaine had fun playing with the candy

The best find ever ($5) at a mother's market.
Elaine chair has become one of the most
important belongings in our home.

It was official the first or second week of this month!
It's so hard to keep such big secrets
