Quick update - KonMari step #1: clothes (eww)

Just a quick note to share... I am obsessed with the organizing and decluttering project I started.  I have already done my clothes.  It took me two days to do the actual sorting and processing - that's while taking care of two kids.  Then putting away took another day.

BEFORE
These are ALL my clothes, from everywhere in the house.  It all came out of that dresser, three racks in the closet, and two boxes.  And some coats in the front hall closet.

In the end, it all fit into five dresser drawers (with room), one closet rack and one tower of folded sweaters in the closet.

AFTER:  pants, winter and summer
AFTER:  shirts, winter (except bulky sweaters)
AFTER:  shirts, summer
I would love to show the other two drawers, but unfortunately they contain embarrassing undergarments, such as my pink panther Halloween socks... I'll try to snap some edited ones.  And I'll add the closet, when that part of the project is done.

Thanks to Chrissy, I got around to the edited drawers.
When Mike saw this, he said he was concerned.
What is concerning about perfectly folded clothes??  They're BEAUTIFUL!
Winter accessories, workout tops, swimming suit, and camisoles
with room for bras.
I now only own eight pairs of shoes, including flip flops
(actually, they've been thrown away).

This side of the closet needs some work.  It's waiting for the
rest of my belongings to be processed and stored there.
Those hangers were emptied in the purge.

February (Elaine 2yr-3mo. Martin 2mo.)

We have discovered fort-building!
A day in the wonderful life.
Martin at two months old.

His eyes have been lightening slowly.

March

She loves to dance - and to force others to join!

Making our homemade waffles.  A double batch
lasts us about one month.

He is such a happy baby.

Martin loooves falling asleep on our sheepskins.  He can't resist.
I finally cleaned our desk and got caught up with some mail.

Elaine and I sing about the weather
and days of the week.

The kids had supported Villanova (or "granola" as Elaine
tries to say) with us.  What a bummer we got knocked out.
I have been reading "The life-changing magic of tidying:  the Japanese
art of decluttering and organizing."  I love it, highly recommend it.
This is our pile of children's books.  Waaaaaay too many.
The overflowing box is just the infant books.

Got to run - hungry kids!!!!!!!!!!  (And hungry Mommy.)
