Spring Into Summer

Since the spring, we have further settled into our new roles here.  I am getting better with practice at being a mother of two and at keeping a healthy routine during the day (though the routine is always, always changing as children change every day).  There are so many great resources online for activities to do with Elaine, daily schedules, chore schedules, recipes etc. that help a lot with the "homemaker" duties.  I'm very grateful for the wealth of ideas and support that people provide over the internet.  At work, Mike is usually working on several projects now, which require on-site visits (good thing we got a life insurance policy before he started working at chemical plants).  He has also put in hours to help other projects and earned his coworkers' appreciation.  His latest projects are due in October, so his work weeks will become increasingly busy as we get closer to our four year anniversary.

April.........................................................

We spent Easter in Philly
Martin at 4 mo.
Tommy (9mo.) with Daddy (Sean)
Mammom and grandbabies

Mark was very careful with the eggs
Elaine got very excited to dye eggs and started throwing
them in different bowls.  Aunt Kelly tried to control the situation.
Mike making his famous vanilla bean cheesecake,
wearing his famous smile :D

Mammom reading Franklin in the Dark
We couldn't get a complete family picture after Mass

Elaine, posing as a Catholic rock star.
(She put these on herself.)
I was telling her how to pose.
"Touch your hair. Now put your hands on your hips."
She didn't want to stop taking pictures.  0_0
The precious face of a child.
Well, that escalated quickly.

My little girl loves doing art projects
I bought her "What your preschooler needs to know"
and it became a favorite with all the poems and songs.

May..................................................................

Elaine (2.5 y/o) picks out her own outfits and loves dresses.
Martin (5mo.) is a content baby and smiles all day long.
They get along wonderfully.

I know, that's too many Martin smiling pictures.

Family on Memorial Day weekend.
We grilled and had our new friends over.

I also turned 27 that Monday. :)
We were happy to attend Angel and Craig's wedding near Philly.
They are living in Virginia, only a few hours from us!
