Our second week started off a little rough. I got mastitis (breast infection), which was extremely painful and stressful because it hurt too much to nurse that side. But we made it through, with the help of antibiotics and my pump. We're doing much better now; we even made it out for a very short walk today.

| She didn't complain about the walk, but she wasn't smiles and giggles either. |
Elaine had her one week doctor's appointment on Monday. Mom drove us to the office, which is just down the road. Elaine gained 1lb. 1oz.!! She now weighs 7lb. 5oz. She grew half an inch in length, making her a full 20.5in. Everything else looks great - she lost her belly buttom, so she can now do "tummy time" (she can already lift up her head, which really impressed her doc). Her next appointment is a one month (first week of December).
Grandma Mischinski came over to visit us several times this week, and Pop-pop came over one night. They brought us some delicious dinners and mom helped me around the house. It was really nice to have some company a few days.
Mike and I have been adjusting fairly well to our new life. Elaine has been getting around 7-8 hours of sleep at night (broken up between nursing periods) so I've been decently rested during the day. We haven't been cooking anything at all really, which makes us especially grateful for the dinners mom and dad have brought. A friend from church called me today and said a bunch of the people from our adult faith formation group are planning to bring us dinners next week. Isn't that so sweet??
Speaking of rest, I need to get to bed. Here are a few pictures from this week - it's not much, I really didn't do hardly anything when I wasn't feeling well.

Such a little cutie patootie! I love the one of her on her playmat, looking like those animals are out to get her. Hahaha.
